Children & Teens

The Therapy

The power of Engagement

Through group workshops and individual sessions, I use a combination of tailored techniques and engaging activities to help young people build resilience, develop confidence, and face life’s challenges with greater strength

I’ve worked with more than 200 children

Why I Love Working with Children

I often hear that working with children is vastly different from working with adults – and for some, this can feel daunting or even off-putting. Perhaps it’s the uncertainty that makes people hesitant.

My advice? Don’t let it put you off!

I absolutely love working with children and teens. It’s incredibly rewarding, full of energy, and, most importantly, they respond so well to the process. Over the years, I’ve worked with more than 200 children, running engaging workshops that often incorporate food as a way to help them open up and participate. Watching their confidence grow is truly inspiring.

One of the most exciting aspects of working with children is their unpredictability – you never quite know what to expect, and that’s part of the fun. Every session is unique, keeping the work fresh, dynamic, and deeply fulfilling.

Group Workshops

Incorporating Cooking

In my group workshops, cooking serves as a great tool to help break down barriers and encourage children to open up and engage. Food helps create a relaxed, open environment where they feel comfortable enough to participate.

These workshops aim to:

My Approach

Why Cooking Works:

These workshops not only focus on cooking but also teach essential life skills that children can carry with them beyond the workshop, equipping them for real-world success.

With the calming and social nature of food, cooking acts as a powerful tool to engage and empower children, making these sessions both fun and impactful.

Cooking sessions allows children to:

Be Creative

Encouraging them to express themselves through cooking fosters creativity and self-expression.

Sense of Accomplishment

Completing a dish gives children a tangible result, boosting their confidence and sense of achievement.

Work Together

Collaboration in the kitchen builds teamwork and strengthens social bonds.

Individual Sessions

One-on-One Sessions with Children and Teens

In addition to my workshops, I offer one-on-one Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) sessions with children and teens. These sessions provide tailored support, and the young people I work with respond incredibly well.

With anxiety levels rising among young people, it’s more important than ever to provide them with the tools they need to manage stress, build confidence, and navigate life’s challenges. Supporting them in this journey is one of the many reasons I love what I do.

My Approach

How CBH Helps Children and Teens

Whether or not the cooking element is included CBH is a great tool to break down barriers and encourage engagement in group settings – but the therapy itself is just as powerful on its own.

Why is CBH effective?
